This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancelling orders and processing refunds for purchases made from 24CHESS via our website www.24chess.store.com or other online platforms.

1. Order Cancellation

  • By the Customer: You may cancel your order any time before it is shipped. To cancel, please contact us immediately at 24chessstore@gmail.com with your order number. If the order has not been processed for shipping, we will cancel it and initiate a 100% refund.
  • By 24CHESS: We reserve the right to cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, the unavailability of stock, pricing errors, or concerns identified by our fraud detection system. In such an event, a full refund will be issued.

2. Returns & Refunds

We stand behind the quality of our products. If you are not satisfied, you can return eligible items.

Eligibility for Return:

  • The item must be in its original, unused, and unassembled condition with all original tags and packaging intact.
  • The return request must be initiated within 7 days of the product’s delivery date.
  • The product is not on the non-returnable list (see below).

Non-Returnable Items:
Due to the nature of these goods, the following items are not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Chess Books (if the seal is broken).
  • Chess Scoresheet Pads (if the packaging is opened).
  • Chess Design Keyrings & other personal accessories for hygiene reasons.
  • Any product that is personalized or made to order.

Return Process:

  1. Contact our customer support at 24chessstore@gmail.com within the eligible return period. Provide your order number and reason for return.
  2. If the return is approved, we will provide a Return Authorization and the shipping address.
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship it to the provided address. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective product).
  4. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

3. Refunds

  • Upon approval of your return, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment.
  • The refund will be for the value of the product(s) returned. Original shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the return is a result of our mistake.
  • The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account will depend on your bank or payment gateway, but it is typically processed within 7-10 business days from the date of refund approval. Razorpay, our payment partner, will process the refund as per their defined timelines.

4. Damaged or Defective Products

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Provide clear photos or a video of the product and its packaging. We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund, including shipping costs, as per your preference.
